"Here are some more images depicting the relation between the inner and outer man in Minotaur.
It will be observed that the sculpture has been damaged - this came about as a result of certain juveniles who broke into a locked room in an attempt to take a look at the sculpture - they tried to pick it up and dropped it. Somehow this act of vandalism accords with the theme - the rent in the mask becomes another symbol.
Originally the figure had a horn - protruding above one ear. The stump of this horn can still be seen in the middle photograph. The Minotaur is the "bull man". The horn is symbolic of the uncontrolled emotions and hardened attitudes of the outer man." NEXT
